    • Connected a scan tool and found codes: P0441 – Evaporative Emission System Incorrect Purge Flow; P0455 – Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Large Leak) and P0456 – Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (very small leak). Performed an inspection of the Evaporative emission (EVAP) system and detected no obvious faults. Sealed the EVAP system and connected a smoke machine to the EVAP system service port. Induced smoke into the EVAP system and found smoke escaped around the gas cap. Removed the gas cap, used a gas cap tester to apply pressure to the cap and found the cap did not retain the applied pressure. These test results verified the gas cap was faulty.
