Connected a scan tool and found code P2135 – Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A"/"B" Voltage Correlation. Performed a throttle sweep, monitored the throttle position sensor signal parameters using the scan tool and found the throttle position sensor signal parameters did not maintain the specified correlation as the throttle was swept. Visually inspected the throttle position sensor wiring harness and found no obvious signs of damage. Used a multi-meter to check for the presence of a short or open in the throttle position sensor wiring harness and found there were no shorts or opens present. Key on, engine off used the multi-meter to inspect for voltage and ground at the throttle position sensor connector and found the specified 5 volts and ground were present. These test results verified the throttle position sensor was faulty. The throttle position sensor is integrated into the throttle body and is replaced as an entire unit.

Cleared codes and test drove, checked good at this time. Customer will need to drive vehicle and return in one week to recheck system. Confirmed customer's complaint and found vehicle did stall intermittently. Connected a scan tool and found code P2119 – Throttle Actuator Control Throttle Body Range/Performance. Used the scan tool to command the electronic throttle control motor open and found the motor was responsive, but the throttle plate did not open fully. Visually inspected the electronic throttle control motor wiring harness and found no obvious signs of damage. Used a set of fused jumper wires to apply voltage and ground to the electronic throttle control motor and found the motor was responsive, but the throttle plate did not fully open. These test results verified the electronic throttle control motor was faulty.
