Upper engine oil leaks coming from rear camshaft seal gasket. Recommend repairing all recommended leaks and recheck. Customer declined repairs at this time.

  • Connected a scan tool and found code P0442 – Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Small Leak). Inspected the evaporative emission (EVAP) system and fuel tank, but found no obvious concerns. Used the scan tool to seal the EVAP system by commanding the EVAP purge solenoid valve and EVAP vent solenoid closed and connected a smoke machine to the system. Induced smoke into the sealed EVAP system with the smoke machine and found smoke leaked from the fuel filler neck. Performed a visual inspection of the fuel filler neck and found the fuel filler neck was cracked.
  • FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE – Remove & Replace – [Includes: R&I Driveshaft.]

  • AUTO TRANSMISSION SERVICE. INCLUDES; DRAIN AND FILL, CHECK FLUID LEVEL AND TEST DRIVE.
  • CLEAN AND ADJUST REAR BRAKES
  • Confirmed customer's complaint and found vehicle did stall intermittently. Connected a scan tool and found code P2119 – Throttle Actuator Control Throttle Body Range/Performance. Used the scan tool to command the electronic throttle control motor open and found the motor was responsive, but the throttle plate did not open fully. Visually inspected the electronic throttle control motor wiring harness and found no obvious signs of damage. Used a set of fused jumper wires to apply voltage and ground to the electronic throttle control motor and found the motor was responsive, but the throttle plate did not fully open. These test results verified the electronic throttle control motor was faulty.
